About Giovanni Caputo

Giovanni Caputo

I have been painting and drawing ever since I can remember.....fueled by an adrenalin rush that grips me when a particular idea or image presents itself and stubbornly leads me to a sketch pad and canvas! Although I have been an art teacher, I am self-taught and have painted and drawn mostly for self-gratification. However, it gives me great satisfaction when my work is acknowledged and gives pleasure to an onlooker. I was born in Forenza, Italy, a small town in southern Italy, in 1953. I have derived great pleasure from my art, sometimes happy to give some of my work away as gifts, content in the knowledge that it would be enjoyed and cared for. My only regret is that I did not take scans or photos of the pieces, now scattered all...
