This archway is The Abbey Gate in St Albans, England, leading to Verulamium Park, the site of the old Roman Town. The Cathedral is to the left as you walk down and St Albans Schhol is to the right, with the Ye Olde Fighting Cocks pub at the end. Completed in 2004 from live sittings.

I have been painting and drawing ever since I can remember.....fueled by an adrenalin rush that grips me when a particular idea or image presents itself and stubbornly leads me to a sketch pad and canvas! Although I have been an art teacher, I am self-taught and have painted and drawn mostly for self-gratification.
